One of a series of teapots, the first being ‘William’. The teapots are a sophisticated reworking of the iconic ‘Billy’ and memories of the Billy tea ritual of my childhood. The lid for the infuser is crowned with a eucalypt umbel, investment cast. The infuser is fabricated from stainless steel mesh formed and handstitched.

The handle is drawn from a Eucalypt leaf infected with a bug that limits the growth of one side of the leaf causing it to curve and develop its particular shape. I was intrigued by the pattern of this phenomenon and how bending the fingers on ones hand can duplicate this detail. The lid for the infuser is crowned with a eucalypt umbel, investment cast. The infuser is fabricated from stainless steel mesh formed and handstitched.
